We are delighted to be your planner for your upcoming celebration. Our priority is to ensure the safety of you, your guests, our team, our vendors and the community of Maui. 

The County of Maui has been able to maintain relatively low numbers of Covid-19 cases by continuously updating and enforcing the state and county rules and regulations that have been put in place. 

We have created the following Policies and Procedures based on the current rules and recommendations from the CDC, State of Hawaii and County of Maui. Of course, these are subject to change as new guidelines are put into place.  We are striving to maintain a safe environment so that we can produce a successful event together. 

We kindly ask that you communicate and encourage these policies and procedures with your guests. Guests that do not comply may not be unable to attend, be asked to leave or jeopardize the event itself. 

CLIENT
The client will be required to sign a Covid-19 release of liability a minimum of 24 hours prior to the eventand is to comply with the rules and safety guidelines in the document outlined by Moana Belle Events and/ or the venue.

GUESTS
Guests will be required to sign a Covid-19 release of liability prior to attending the event. It will be the responsibility of the client to ensure that the guests are in compliance. 

All guests are to comply with the rules and safety guidelines in this document outlined by Moana Belle Events, the venue and the County of Maui. 

This item is a requirement to enter the wedding venue.  

CONTACT TRACING
Client is to provide contact tracing information (name + phone number + email address) for all guests prior to the event. 

This information is a requirement to enter the wedding venue. 

POST EVENT
Should you or one of your guests test positive for Covid-19 within 14 days of the event you are to notify Moana Belle Events immediately so that proper contact tracing can proceed. 

STAFF + VENDORS
All staff + vendors have been trained on Covid-19 protocols and rules that are in compliance with the CDC, State of Hawaii and County of Maui. 

Any staff or vendor displaying symptoms of Covid-19 within 72 hours of the event will not be permitted to work. Symptoms include: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea. 

Any staff or vendor who is currently positive for COVID-19 will not be permitted to work. 

TEMPERATURE CHECKS
Temperature checks will be given upon arrival to anyone coming on property, such as the bridal party, guests, staff and vendors. Any person with a temperature over 100.4 will not be permitted to enter the venue. 

VENUE CAPACITY
Currently Maui County guidelines have set venue capacity limits to which Moana Belle Events will be following. These capacity limits will vary by venue. 

TRANSPORTATION CAPACITY
Currently Maui County guidelines have set vehicle capacity limits for commercial vehicles. The client will be informed of these capacity limits and your planner will assist you accordingly. Should your guests arrive via private transportation, it is required that they wear a mask while in the vehicles.

SANITATION OF VENUE
The venue will be sanitized before, during and after the event using procedures and products in compliance with CDC guidelines. All high touchpoint surfaces such as restrooms, doorknobs and handles will be sanitized on an regular basis. 

Hand sanitizer will be available to all staff and guests at various locations throughout the venue. We encourage guests and staff to use these often during the event. 

Additional fees may apply for staffing and sanitizing products. 

PHYSICAL DISTANCING
We encourage that all persons shall maintain a 6ft. distance from others to the fullest extent possible unless they are from the same household. 

VACCINE MANDATE
In relations to dining at bars or restaurants, Bars and restaurants may operate at a limited capacity provided they ensure that all customers 12 years of age and older are fully vaccinated. Operators are responsible for verifying vaccination status and identity by government or school-issued identification. People are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 when more than two weeks have passed since receiving the second dose in a two dose series, or more than two weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine. A completed vaccination card (which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided and date last dose administered) in original, photocopied, or digital form; the Hawaii SMART Health Card digital health pass; or other similar vaccination documentation from a healthcare provider are acceptable proof of vaccination. Operators may collect the above acceptable proof of vaccination prior to indoor dining events. Non-vaccinated patrons may be served in outdoor dining spaces only, or by take-out or drive through. This mandate does not currently apply to outdoor event venue spaces and is subject to the Venue’s policy.

FACE COVERINGS
The requirements of Governor Ige’s August 5, 2021, Proclamation, Exhibit A, as amended, are incorporated herein by reference. Pursuant to the State’s Proclamation, individuals shall wear face September 7, 2021 Page 5 coverings over their noses and mouths when in public settings. Individuals are not required to wear face coverings “while outdoors.”

SIGNAGE
Signage will be located throughout the venue noting Covid-19 rules and restrictions per the CDC guidelines, State of Hawaii and County of Maui.
A listing of signage requirements particular to the event will be provided by Moana Belle Events to the client. It will be the responsibility of the client to have signage produced. Moana Belle Events will assist.

SEATING  |  TABLE ASSIGNMENTS
Reception - Maximum of 8 persons per table and it is recommended that each table be reserved for members of the same household. 

Ceremony - Rows are to be placed 6ft. apart. Assigned seating recommended mirroring the reception seating assignments as much as possible. 

It will be the responsibility of the client to ensure that the seating follows the recommended guidelines. 

ENTERTAINMENT + DANCING
Dancing is permitted, provided that dancers wear face coverings and maintain at least 6ft of distance with the exception of customary couple’s dances and those who share a household. 

A maximum of 10 musicians can perform at one time provided they can maintain a 6ft. distance from each other while performing. Musicians must be located a minimum of 10ft from any guest and are not required to wear a face covering while performing. 

FOOD PRESENTATION
Food service limitations and variations will be in compliance with CDC Guidelines, which may be different than traditional service. These variations are designed to keep you and your fellow guests, staff members and vendors safe.

MICROPHONE
Microphones are required to be located at a minimum of 10ft. From guests. Only one person is permitted to use the microphone at a time which will be sanitized by the DJ or musician.
